About: Buffalo/Niagara Phi Delta Kappa (B/N PDK) invites you to its School Safety and Security Symposium, an engaging and timely event designed to support educational leaders, school staff, and community stakeholders. Buffalo/Niagara Phi Delta Kappa (B/N PDK) will be presenting a School Safety and Security Symposium hosted by Ink Labs at the Buffalo History Museum.
Consistent with B/N PDK’s mission of delivering high-quality programming to a broad educational community audience with designed networking opportunities, the Symposium will feature the latest approaches to school safety. Attendees will learn about best practices and the newest security products, including weapons detection, wearable panic buttons, visitor management, risk mitigation, grant funding, and safety plan development.
While traditional school safety plans often emphasize emergency response, this symposium takes a proactive approach by showcasing experts in prevention-focused strategies. We invite superintendents, district safety personnel, school resource officers, school board members, and all educational stakeholders to participate in this interactive event. Join us for all or part of the sessions, connect with leading experts on-site, and explore ways to enhance the safety and security of your schools.
Admission is free, and attendees will enjoy a light dinner, along with beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres served on the beautiful History Museum Portico during our networking reception following the presentations.
